Dr Marie Cox

Dr Marie Cox is a University of Queensland graduate and Fellow of the RACGP who has provided general practice care to individuals and families in The Gap since 1990.

Throughout her career, Dr Cox has worked across a broad range of healthcare settings, including antenatal and child health and refugee health outreach clinics with Queensland Health, where she contributed for 27 years. She is passionate about continuity of care and improving communication and collaboration between healthcare providers.

Her areas of special interest include women’s health, child health, mental health and chronic disease management.

Dr Cox currently works two days per week and is not taking new patients. She will retire from general practice in December 2026.
